A Story of Blancpain
About Art, Ocean, and Blue Tears
Blancpain, a brand strongly associated with the ocean, is renowned for its diving watch heritage and its efforts in supporting Ocean conservation and photography.
The new Taipei 101 Limited Watch, inspired by the unique marine creature known as Sea Sparkle or romantically as Blue Tears, embodies this commitment. To engage existing high-end clients and new prospects while sharing the brand’s ocean story, Blancpain plans to host a hybrid event: a VIP-only launch party and an art exhibition in collaboration with Double Square Gallery.
Concept & Design
The event venue had a warm tone. To transform it into an oceanic atmosphere, we proposed a design approach that relied on lighting effects and minimal physical installations. The initial proposal was presented in the form of a mood board and sketch.
Exhibition Planning
Each watch was paired with either an ocean-inspired artwork or a winning photograph from the Ocean Photography Awards initiated by Blancpain to complete the narrative. The exhibition area was decorated with rippling lights to create an “ocean roaming” viewing experience.
Food & Baverage
Food and beverage played a significant role in the VIP session. All refreshments served at the party were specially designed by renowned bars and Michelin restaurants to complement the oceanic theme.
The Launch
In a minimal and elegant set-up, the Taipei 101 Limited Edition was launched, following by a DJ performance. Guests may following the guided tour to explore both the art pieces the watches further.
